Peter Whittington is the Senior Policy Adviser with policy responsibility for the UK’s Medical Technology sector in the Government’s Office for Life Sciences. Key areas of current work include; working with the sector’s Trade Associations, Medilinks and innovation support system, to help foster the sector and its supply-chain’s competitiveness; help implement the recommendations from the Accelerated Access Review; development of the life-sciences component of a new industrial strategy; and ensuring the sector’s interests are taken into account in the development of relevant UK financial and fiscal support policies; and relationship management of priority medical technology inward investors.
